When seeking professional assistance, clients should understand exactly what a service provider can do, what the client remains responsible for, and when assistance from a licensed professional may be necessary.

Ogbeni Ridwan Consultancy—ORC—was established around a straightforward approach: Learn, Organize, Advance.

We provide free educational resources and carefully defined administrative services in four areas:

  • Insights
  • USCIS Form Transcription
  • Business Registration
  • North Carolina Notary Service

Transparency is central to our work. This article explains the scope of each ORC offering, the limits of our services, and the responsibilities clients retain when working with us.

01 Insights: Free learning resources

The ORC Insights section provides educational articles about information-technology auditing, risk management, governance, internal controls, cybersecurity oversight, regulatory developments, administrative processes, and related professional topics.

Our objective is to make complex subjects easier to understand and to provide practical learning resources for professionals, business owners, students, and other interested readers.

Insights may include:

  • Introductions to IT audit and technology-risk concepts
  • Explanations of governance and internal-control frameworks
  • Career-learning content for people exploring IT audit or risk management
  • Publicly available business and regulatory information
  • USCIS news, policy developments, and immigration-data trends
  • Administrative checklists and organizational guidance
  • North Carolina notary education

Insights content is provided for general educational and informational purposes. It is not individualized professional advice and does not create a consultant-client, attorney-client, tax-adviser, investment-adviser, or other professional relationship.

Readers should not rely on a general article as a substitute for advice addressing their particular facts and circumstances.

02 USCIS Form Transcription

Completing a U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) form can involve transferring a substantial amount of personal, historical, and supporting information into an official government form.

ORC offers a limited USCIS transcription service. We enter information supplied by the client into the applicable form and help organize client-provided documents according to the client’s instructions.

Depending on the engagement, ORC may:

  • Transcribe answers provided by the client
  • Identify unanswered fields for the client’s attention
  • Help arrange client-provided information consistently
  • Organize supporting documents supplied by the client
  • Prepare an administrative document checklist
  • Assist with assembling and formatting a submission package
  • Record ORC’s involvement as a preparer when required
  • Return the completed materials to the client for review and approval

The client remains responsible for every answer, statement, document, and decision included in the submission.

ORC does not:

  • Determine immigration eligibility
  • Select an immigration benefit, petition, application, or strategy
  • Tell a client how to answer a substantive question
  • Interpret immigration law for a client
  • Advise whether evidence is legally sufficient
  • Predict how USCIS will decide a matter
  • Communicate with USCIS as a client’s legal representative
  • Represent clients in immigration proceedings

Clients who need an eligibility assessment, legal interpretation, representation, or strategic immigration advice should consult a qualified U.S. immigration attorney or an accredited representative authorized by the United States Department of Justice.

03 Business Registration

ORC provides administrative support to individuals who have already decided how they want to structure and register their businesses.

Our services may include:

  • Transcribing client instructions into business-registration filings
  • Submitting authorized administrative filings
  • Assisting with name-availability searches
  • Organizing formation and registration records
  • Maintaining administrative filing checklists
  • Providing registered-agent services under a separate agreement
  • Tracking annual reports and renewal dates
  • Assisting with routine changes to public business records
  • Creating internal administrative document templates
  • Organizing compliance calendars and corporate records

ORC can explain the administrative steps involved in filing and direct clients to publicly available government information. However, the client must decide which business structure, ownership arrangement, tax treatment, and governing provisions are appropriate.

ORC does not:

  • Recommend whether a client should form an LLC, corporation, partnership, or another entity
  • Draft customized legal agreements
  • Interpret the legal consequences of formation documents
  • Provide tax, accounting, securities, investment, or financial advice
  • Determine licensing requirements for a particular regulated profession
  • Guarantee that registration will satisfy every legal or regulatory obligation
  • Represent a client in a legal dispute or government proceeding

Business registration is only one part of operating a compliant business. Clients may need assistance from a licensed attorney, certified public accountant, tax professional, insurance professional, or other qualified adviser.

When a requested service requires professional judgment outside ORC’s permitted administrative role, we will ask the client to obtain the appropriate professional advice before proceeding.

04 North Carolina Notary Service

ORC provides notarial services through a commissioned North Carolina notary public.

A notary’s role is limited. Depending on the authorized notarial act, the notary may verify the signer’s identity, observe an acknowledgment or signature, or administer an oath or affirmation.

Clients requesting a notarization should be prepared to:

  • Appear personally when required
  • Present acceptable identification
  • Provide a complete document
  • Demonstrate willingness and awareness
  • Identify the notarial act required by the receiving organization
  • Pay the applicable disclosed fee

ORC will follow North Carolina notary requirements and may decline or discontinue a notarization when the legal requirements for performing the act have not been met.

A notary is not responsible for determining whether a document is legally effective or appropriate for the signer.

ORC does not:

  • Select a notarial certificate for a client
  • Explain the legal effect of a document
  • Advise whether the client should sign
  • Prepare a document requiring legal judgment
  • Notarize an incomplete document when prohibited
  • Proceed when identity, willingness, awareness, or another required element cannot be established
  • Provide legal advice through a notarial engagement

If a client does not know which notarial act is required, the client should contact the document’s issuer, recipient, or a licensed attorney.

Our professional background

ORC is led by a principal consultant who is a licensed Barrister in Nigeria and a CISA-certified professional with more than a decade of experience in the U.S. banking and capital-markets industry. This experience includes over five years in internal IT audit and current work in second-line cyber and technology-risk oversight.

The founder is not licensed to practice law in North Carolina or any other U.S. state. ORC does not provide U.S. legal advice or legal representation.

The Nigerian legal qualification is presented as professional background only. It does not expand the scope of ORC’s U.S.-based services.

No current or former employer sponsors, endorses, or is affiliated with ORC. The opinions expressed through ORC are independent and do not necessarily represent the views of any employer or professional organization.

Our commitment to clear boundaries

ORC’s service limitations are not merely fine print. They are part of how we protect clients, maintain professional integrity, and ensure that each engagement remains within its appropriate scope.

Before accepting an administrative engagement, we aim to confirm:

  1. The service the client is requesting
  2. The instructions and information the client will provide
  3. What ORC will deliver
  4. What ORC will not determine or advise
  5. The fee and expected completion timeline
  6. Whether the client should consult a licensed or otherwise qualified professional

We may decline, pause, or limit an engagement when the requested work would require legal advice, professional representation, an eligibility determination, or another service outside ORC’s scope.

Learn, Organize, Advance

Clear information. Careful organization. Reliable administrative support.

ORC helps clients and readers move forward through clear information, careful organization, and reliable administrative support.

If you have questions about whether a particular request falls within our service boundaries, contact us before submitting personal information or making payment. We will explain whether ORC can provide the requested administrative assistance.

Contacting ORC with a general question does not create a professional or attorney-client relationship. A service relationship begins only after ORC confirms the engagement and both parties accept the applicable terms.
